Young, Mildred E McCreight - Funeral services for Mildred E. Young, 84, of Lenox were held Monday. Jan. 6, at the First United Presbyterian Church of Lenox with Rev. Don Fisher officiating.
Casket bearers were Orville Williams, Wayne McFee, Paul Maynes, Kenneth McFee, John W. Borland and Bill Henderson.
Music was provided by Roberta Lockhart, organist and Gwen Maynes, soloist.
Interment was in West Fairview Cemetery in Lenox with Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mildred E. Young, daughter of Elmer and Bessie Ramsey McCreight, was born June 5, 1907, southeast of Lenox. She died on Jan. 4, 1992, at Clearview in Clearfield.
Following graduation from Clearfield High School in 1927, she attended Sterling College at Sterling, Kansas, for two years.
She later worked at the State Institution in Glenwood.
On Nov. 26, 1954, Mildred was united in marriage to Richard Young at the Lenox United Presbyterian Church. After her marriage she worked at a Lenox cafe and at various jobs. She loved to work in her garden and with her flowers.
She was a lifelong member of the United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; and a brother, L. L. McCreight.
