How to Make Good Gravy Potatoes in a Crock Pot
Aunt Lou here.
Good gravy anything is a big hit in my house! Momma came up with the original recipe, and I have used her recipe to come up with many different ways to use her recipe. Prior to this Good Gravy Crock Pot Potatoes recipe, I had only used the recipe for different kinds of main dishes. However, Cris and I were brainstorming recipe ideas, and this was one that I knew I had to try. It was absolutely amazing! My kids loved these potatoes, even my picky eater! I can’t leave out that Michael and I loved it as well. So, here is a great side dish for adults and kiddos! Win win!
The amount of cheese you want to use depends on how thick you want your gravy. I used 3 slices, and the thickness of the gravy was perfect for us. I hope you enjoy these as much as we do!

Totally getting ready to make this delicious Good Gravy recipe. I do not have any sliced cheese on hand only shredded. I hope this works 🤞
I doubt I will hear back from you in time by the time I try it with shredded cheese. I can’t wait to make it ☺️Reply
Aunt Lou says
I haven’t ever tried this with shredded cheese. How did it turn out?

This sounds like it would be absolutely amazing, but my boyfriend is allergic to mushrooms. I’ve learned to substitute the cream of mushrooms with cream of chicken over the years, but do have a suggestion what I could substitute the golden mushrooms with?Reply

I haven’t tried this or any of our Good Gravy recipes without either Golden Mushroom or Beefy Mushroom. You might try using cream of celery instead. It will change the flavor of the recipe, but might still be good. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!
